Rennie Pilgrem’s first album on his TCR imprint is essentially a collection of his most standout breakbeat tracks through the 1990s.

‘A Place Called Acid' was a major hit on the international breaks scene and helped launch Rennie’s DJing career, with gigs in the USA, Australia and Europe.

‘A Place Called Acid' may be nearly 30 years old, but it still has the raw energy that made it a classic of the genre.

In the early 2000's Rennie was asked to do a remix of the track (Acid part 3' for the introductory tune for Nick Love’s 2004 cult film 'The Football Factory'.

Other standout cuts from this album include brutal dance floor destroyer ‘Paranoia,’ as well as 'Black Widow' – a groundbreaking collaboration with West Coast wünderkind Uberzone – and the stone-cold crowdpleaser 'Someplace Funky,’ which was described as ‘a contender for bassline of the year' by Radio 1's hitmaking dance DJ Pete Tong.
